Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a "Broker"?

A: A Broker is defined as "One hired for a fee to negotiate purchases, contracts, or sales".  A ticket broker does just that.  There are people that want to sell their tickets and there are also people that want to buy those same tickets.  A ticket broker can do this through buying the tickets outright from the seller in hopes that they can sell them, or by buying tickets from the seller on consignment and keep a fee if they are sold.  In both cases a ticket broker puts the buyers and the sellers together for a fee.

Q: Why are the tickets above face value?

A: Tickets are sold at "Market Price".  This means that the ticket brokers are also buying them at well above face value.  If someone is selling their tickets to a major event, they generally want to sell them for at least their worth.  The prices we set reflect the effort and costs of obtaining and reselling the tickets.

Q: Is it illegal to sell tickets for more than face value?

A: No, but It does generally require a license and a set of standards to follow.  By purchasing through a licensed ticket broker you can be assured that you are dealing with a reputable broker.  We are a proud member of the Better Business Bureau and all transactions that we handle meet all state and local provisions.

Q: How do we know that the tickets are genuine tickets?

A: By purchasing from a licensed ticket broker you can be assured that we have taken the necessary precautions to guarantee that they are genuine. We verify all of our sources for tickets and only buy from those that are reliable.

Q: Can I cancel my order after I've placed it?

A: No. All sales are final and are there are no cancellations or exchanges.  Once an order is processed it can't be cancelled.

Q: Who decides what price the tickets are sold for?

A: Ticket prices are based upon the current market value, which is influenced by the common business concept of supply and demand.  Because of changing markets, we are constantly updating our ticket prices to accurately reflect that of the current market value.  Ticket prices are subject to change without notice at any time.

Q: When will my credit card be charged?

A: Your credit card will not be charged until we have confirmed that your tickets are available or you have agreed to tickets in a similar location.

Q: Is it safe to enter my credit card information online?

A: TopStarTickets.com/Soxtix.com ensures a safe and secure buying experience.  All transactions conducted on our website go through a secure server and the information you provide can't be read as the data travels over the Internet, and it will not leave our office or be given to any outside parties.  You personal information is protected at all times.

Q: What types of payment do you accept?

A: We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, cash and personal checks.  Cash and personal checks will only be accepted at our office located in Abington, MA.  The billing address will be verified with your credit card company so you must use the exact address where your statements are sent.  We require the CVC code on the back of you credit card to ensure us that you have the actual card in your possession and for protection of both you the customer and us.  There are common misconceptions of the use and need for CVC codes however, without it a person could obtain all of your credit card information from a simple receipt.  By asking for that specific code, we are making sure you are a legitimate buyer with a legitimate credit card, while making sure you are the rightful card holder to prevent theft.

Q: How are my tickets shipped and how much does it cost?

A: All tickets are shipped via Federal Express courier service and all deliveries require a signature.  You will receive your tickets depending on which shipping method you choose, for example if you choose 2-Day shipping, you will receive your tickets within 2 business days.  Each shipping method costs a different amount: we charge $15 for 2-Day shipping, $20 for standard overnight, and $25 for priority.  In certain cases we will email tickets at no additional charge however special circumstances must be present for this to apply.

Questions about TicketFast Tickets

These are the newest form of tickets called TicketFast or e-tickets. These printed pages are your actual tickets. They are valid and 100% legitimate. Each printed ticket features a unique bar code that is scanned at the gate. Make sure you bring these tickets with you to the event. You will not be admitted without them. Present your ticket at the gate, they will be scanned by the attendant and then you will be admitted.

Do not copy your tickets. The scanners will only allow one entry per unique bar coded ticket. TicketFast tickets are valid whether printed in black and white or color.

Make sure you keep these tickets in a safe place like you would cash and protect it just like you would any other ticket!

Q: Another name appears on my ticket. Did I get the wrong tickets?

A: These are your tickets. The name that appears may have been the original purchaser. Since TicketFast tickets are transferable these are now exclusively your tickets.

Q: The price on the ticket is not the price I paid. Is that right?

A: As explained in our website terms and conditions, we are a private ticket broker and tickets may be sold above face value. The price you paid reflects current market value and includes expenses involved in obtaining hard to get tickets.

Q: What happens if I lose my ticket?

A: We are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Tickets are like cash, so keep your tickets in a safe place and do not lose them.
